[If you have a wedding booked with us, please speak to your wedding coordinator for more details. If you have booked on to an event between 2nd-16th December, you should have received an email regarding this – please be sure to check your spam folder!]

Updates since the latest Government announcement, to take effect from Wednesday 5th December 2020.

Following the Government’s most recent guidelines in relation to the COVID-19 outbreak, the doors of The Kedleston Country House will remain closed until at least Wednesday 16th December, as Derbyshire is placed into Tier 3 restrictions.

Since opening in July, we have worked tirelessly to find our ‘new normal’ in not only these current difficult circumstances, but as the new owners of the business – what a time to purchase a business! We are truly grateful to everyone that has visited us, and would like to sincerely thank you for your support and kind messages letting us know how much you are enjoying The Kedleston Country House under new family ownership.

We have been getting involved and finding every opportunity to meet many of you, whether this has been us making a cocktail or two behind the bar, serving in the restaurant or even checking you in to stay the night. We appreciate your incredibly positive feedback and enjoy hearing your fabulous stories of how The Kedleston played a part in your past.

We would like to reassure you that as soon as we can, we will be open.

Prior to the second national lockdown, we had made exciting plans for December including our Christmas Market, Afternoon Tea with Santa, Kedleston’s Festive Cheer with a candlelit carol service as well as an outdoor apres-ski style bar: Alpine Lodge, where you’ll be able to enjoy food, drink and live music every Friday and Saturday in December. Unfortunately some of these plans have been scuppered – but that will not stop us from spreading some festive cheer!

🌲 Our Christmas Market on Saturday 5th December will still go ahead, as this complies with the latest guidelines. We will be serving drinks and food from our marquee, but you unfortunately won’t be able to enjoy them on site. Join us from 10am-3pm and shop for your essentials – as well as a spot of Christmas shopping! – and support your local businesses.
🎅 Afternoon Tea with Santa on the 6th and 13th December will go ahead but with takeaway offerings instead. Anyone who had booked on to these dates have been contacted – please check your spam folder if you are yet to receive anything.
If you have booked on to an event, restaurant, or Alpine Lodge after 16th December, this will still go ahead as normal unless we remain in Tier 3. At which point, we will contact you to discuss rearrangements.
Anyone who had a restaurant or Alpine Lodge booking with us between 2nd-16th December is unfortunately cancelled.
If we get the go ahead to open after 16th December, we are hoping to extend our Alpine Lodge opening dates so that anyone who misses out now can hopefully enjoy it later down the line.

For now, its back into the kitchen for us as we serve a delicious takeaway menu: click here to take a look!
