All five bedrooms at The Kedleston Country House have their own unique charm, with contemporary style and unrivalled comfort. All of our bed & breakfast guests receive complimentary use of our robes, slippers and luxury toiletries throughout their stay, and can add ‘little extra somethings’, such as champagne and chocolates in your room.

How you decide to spend your day is completely up to you – whether you’re hoping to explore the local area or stay right here and soak up the atmosphere, our staff will be on hand to offer recommendations of local amenities, or offer you a late lunch or dinner in our restaurant. Upon checking out, why not indulge in some coffee and cake in the Snug? With a selection of freshly baked sweet treats to choose from, we hope it’ll be the perfect way to end your stay with us.

Whether you’re hoping to explore the beautiful landscape with a long walk in the surrounding countryside, or you want to soak up the culture and go for a spot of shopping in the nearby Derby city centre, take a look at some of our favourite things to do in the local area.

Children are more than welcome in The Scarsdale bedroom at The Kedleston Country House, which is suitable for an extra bed or cot, simply request this when booking and we can arrange it for you upon your arrival.

We love dogs here at The Kedleston Country House, and you may spot our resident Dachshund, Edie, wandering around from time to time. Not all of our bedrooms are dog friendly, so if you do want to bring your four-legged friend along, please make sure you specify this on your booking. Dogs will be charged at £10.95 extra.

The Dining Room or Orangery are open for reservations. If you wish to dine with us during your stay, we suggest you book a table to avoid disappointment. Please note that our restaurant is closed on Monday’s, however there are some superb eateries in the local area that we’re more than happy to recommend to you.

Because we believe everyone should experience the ambiance of our Dining Room, we do not offer cooked meals to be served in your room. However there is a selection of refreshments and snacks in your room, and more can be added prior to your arrival upon request for an additional charge.

Nestled in the Derbyshire countryside, The Kedleston Country House is the ideal location for a private party or function. Our Orangery can seat up to 70 guests, or The Dining Room is the perfect spot for up to 50 guests. Find out more here!

We want our Wedding guests to feel special on their big day, so The Kedleston Country House is open to wedding guests ONLY during a wedding weekend. This is why we cannot accept room reservations until three months prior to your requested date.

You can check in to The Kedleston Country House from 3pm, however if you plan on arriving earlier to explore the local area, you are more than welcome to drop your luggage off beforehand. We politely ask that you vacate your room by 11am, but you are more than welcome to stay on the grounds and enjoy a drink in the bar.

Our rates are a starting from price, and may fluctuate throughout the year. We also may have a special offer from time to time, so be sure to keep your eye on our website and social media channels, and sign up for our newsletter to be the first in the know.

We are extremely lucky to be situated in stunning Derbyshire countryside, surrounded by some fantastic walks. Just a stones’ throw away is National Trust Kedleston Hall, where you can take in the history and the views from the lake, or enjoy a stroll around Markeaton Park with its quaint tea rooms and garden centre. If a spot of shopping is more your thing, why not venture into Derby city centre? From artisan shops and boutiques in the Cathdral Quarter to high street favourites in the Intu shopping centre, we’re sure you’ll find a little retail therapy.

Due to the nature of our business, we cannot refund any cancellations made less than a week prior to your booking. If you are unable to come and stay we advise that you contact us at least one week prior to your arrival date to avoid any charges to your credit / debit card. If you do wish to cancel your stay with us, please communicate this with us as soon as possible.
