A family home set in the historic Kedleston estate in Derbyshire, this stunning Georgian house is quintessentially English with rolling countryside views.
Built in 1762, The Kedleston Country House was designed by Robert Adam while he was working on his grandest design. Kedleston Hall was his first major building commission and is one of the best examples of his work. At the time he was Architect of the King’s Works and he went on to become one of the most successful, fashionable, and inspirational architects in the country.
The current owners took possession of The Kedleston Country House just days before the first lockdown in 2020. This of course was a challenge. However, now this family-run Derbyshire B&B is a home away from home in the Derbyshire countryside is a place to eat, drink, sleep and celebrate.
Guests can enjoy fine dining with homegrown or locally sourced food while sampling our extensive and exciting drinks menu. Afterward, stay in our 5 beautifully decorated boutique bedrooms and treat yourself to Champagne Breakfast.
The Kedleston Country House is also available to hire as an exclusive space to host a wedding or special event. With landscaped Georgian gardens restored from the originals designed by Adam himself, it is the perfect setting for every occasion.
We are ready to welcome you to this beautiful and historic building – the perfect Georgian retreat.
