We are so very excited to announce the launch of our brand new Afternoon Tea menu’s here at The Kedleston Country House!

As we re-opened after lockdown with a new head chef, we wanted to look into changing the concept of Afternoon Tea, and the way it was served to our diners. Naturally, we’ll feature finger sandwiches and sweet treats, but our new menu’s are a slight re-invention of the British tradition, turning it into a more opulent affair.

Your journey will of course begin with a glass of the finest sparkling wine or champagne. Choose from Codorniu Zero Alcohol-free sparkling wine, Bolla Rosé Sparkling Rosé, Il Baco Da Seta Prosecco, Laurent Perrier Brut Champagne or Laurent Perrier Rosé Champagne*.

You’ll also enjoy a delicate amuse-bouche and the choice of house aromatic floral teas handpicked from The Tea Makers of London.

Your sandwich selection will consist of coronation chicken, prawn Marie Rose, egg & watercress, and cheese & chive, followed by a selection of savoury treats:

Lincolnshire poacher & onion gougère
Tapioca crisp, parsley, lemon, green olive, chickpea
Goats cheese, pineapple, black olive
Mackerel tartare, pickled apple, crème fraîche, caviar

Of course, no Afternoon Tea would be complete without sweet treats! Our dessert platter typically consists of scones, served with homemade jam & clotted cream, lemon meringue tart, Bakewell macaroon, white chocolate & apricot gateaux and Black Forest gateaux.
