Children are more than welcome in The Scarsdale bedroom at The Kedleston Country House, which is suitable for an extra bed or cot, simply request this when booking and we can arrange it for you upon your arrival.

The Dining Room or Orangery are open for reservations only. If you wish to dine with us, we strongly advise that you reserve a table in advance to avoid disappointment. There may be times when we have an event occurring, such as our pop-up restaurant evenings or chef takeovers. This will be communicated with you upon booking your stay, and again, it is advised that you reserve your table.

Because we believe everyone should experience the ambiance of our Dining Room, we do not offer cooked meals to be served in your room. However there is a selection of refreshments and snacks in your room, and more can be added prior to your arrival upon request for an additional charge.

We understand how easy it is to assume that we are a hotel however, we are not! We are a family home offering a luxury Bed & Breakfast service which is ran by our small family team.

Nestled in the Derbyshire countryside, The Kedleston Country House is the ideal location for a private party or function. Our Orangery can seat up to 70 guests, or The Dining Room is the perfect spot for up to 50 guests. Find out more here!

We want our Wedding guests to feel special on their big day, so The Kedleston Country House is open to wedding guests ONLY during a wedding weekend. This is why we cannot accept room reservations until three months prior to your requested date.

You can check in to The Kedleston Country House from 2pm, however if you plan on arriving earlier to explore the local area, you are more than welcome to drop your luggage off beforehand. We politely ask that you vacate your room by 11am, but you are more than welcome to stay on the grounds and enjoy a drink in the bar, or book in for lunch with us too.

Our rates are a starting from price, and may fluctuate throughout the year. We also may have a special offer from time to time, so be sure to keep your eye on our website and social media channels, and sign up for our newsletter to be the first in the know.

We are extremely lucky to be situated in stunning Derbyshire countryside, surrounded by some fantastic walks. Just a stones’ throw away is National Trust Kedleston Hall, where you can take in the history and the views from the lake, or enjoy a stroll around Markeaton Park with its quaint tea rooms and garden centre. If a spot of shopping is more your thing, why not venture into Derby city centre? From artisan shops and boutiques in the Cathdral Quarter to high street favourites in the Intu shopping centre, we’re sure you’ll find a little retail therapy.

Due to the nature of our business, we cannot refund any cancellations made less than a week prior to your booking. If you are unable to come and stay we advise that you contact us at least one week prior to your arrival date to avoid any charges to your credit / debit card. If you do wish to cancel your stay with us, please communicate this with us as soon as possible.
